According to Polygon and What’s on Netflix, the animated sci-fi series is set to leave the streamer on May 31. To date, it has been on Netflix for two years, with creators and fans hoping that a second season would arrive. Global engagement data gathered by WoN shows that the show has seen 8.2 million hours between 2024 and 2025, with the majority coming from its first year on the platform. Adding its total views between the two years gives 1.7 million views, including 1.1 million in its inaugural year.
Whether or not it’s really going away at the end of May, you should definitely check out rule of scavengers. Initially released in 2023 for HBO Max and Adult Swim, the show focuses on the crew of a downed spacecraft stranded on the planet Vesta. Some people try to find their way back home, some…No, Thanks to the local fauna and other creatures of the planet, they are all having one tragic experience after another. We were fans of it when it first premiered thanks to its animation and writing, and we’re still sad that we won’t get to see more of its story.
io9 reached out to confirm whether the show is leaving Netflix, and if so, whether HBO Max — which originally canceled it — is the only legal place to watch it. At the time of writing, there is no official Blu-ray release, and no word on whether that will change. Go ahead and watch it while you can, and while you’re at it, watch Common side effects From the same team.
