Turtle Beach’s latest collection of PC peripherals is so focused on touchscreen displays that the company has even slapped on a gaming mouse. The $160 Wireless Command Series MC7 has a 2.25-inch touch display bar on the left side of the mouse, which appears to be located Now! This is the perfect situation for users to worry about accidentally hitting their thumbs on it.
The Display Bar is designed to work like a built-in stream deck, allowing users to assign macros, apps, and customizable commands to OBS controls. It also brings to mind the infamous MacBook Pro Touch Bar, which was easy to accidentally hit while typing, until the feature was discontinued by Apple in 2023. The MC7 mouse also includes dual hot-swappable 1,000 mAh batteries that provide up to 10 hours of use each, or up to 15 hours of use with the lighting features disabled.
It is one of several Command Series products announced by Turtle Beach, which also includes two other mice that lack integrated touchscreens, and two keyboards that include displays. The $200 KB7 TKL Hall-effect wired keyboard has a larger 4.3-inch display in place of the usual right-hand numpad, while the $150 KB5 wired mechanical keyboard has a 2.4-inch touchscreen above the numpad.
The entire lineup is available for preorder now, with keyboards available globally in May and mice available in July.
