kindle holder

Do you hate holding your Kindle? Or struggling with chronic pain that makes holding it feel terrible? These holders will literally take the weight off your hands.

Gooseneck iPad Holder

This holder works for Kindle and tablets and even my Nintendo Switch. The clamp base lets you attach it to tables and furniture, and it’s easy to position it in front of you or even on top if you want to lie down and read.

tablet pillow stand holder

If you want something that’s freestanding, this pillow tablet stand holder works great for the Kindle. I use it on the couch, and I can sit or lean back and adjust the stand arm to suit my position. It also has two built-in cup and snack holders. Lamicol says they are food safe, but I just use it to hold my tea mugs and phone.

a freestanding charger

Do you want to keep your Kindle charged without adding another wire to the floor of your desk or bedside table? Same. If you have one of the Signature Editions here’s a more stylish solution.

Ankar

Wireless Charging Dock for Kindle

This wireless charging dock is made by Anker for Kindles, specifically the seven-inch Signature editions of the Kindle Paperwhite and ColorSoft. Those versions have wireless charging capabilities, and this stand takes advantage of that with the charging coils on the back of the Kindle, where the wireless charging is. You’ll want to remove any MagSafe cases; With it on, the little light on the charging dock kept flashing until I removed it.

a kindle page turner

The newest thing to get as a Kindle lover is the page turner. They’re especially useful for holders like the one above, where your hands aren’t already on the device, and can make a great accessibility tool for readers with different needs.

The biggest gripe I’ve ever had with these devices is that you have to charge them both separately, and if one runs out of battery, the whole thing becomes useless. I also don’t like that the turner blocks at least one character when I read, and you can’t place it on the bottom or top margin because it would activate the menu instead of turning the page. Still, it makes reading extremely comfortable, especially for my strained wrists.

This is my favorite so far, solid at holding a charge, and next I’ve been testing this remote ($15) with a wearable Ring Clicker instead of the remote.
