Rockies game rescheduled due to weather concerns

Monday’s Rockies vs. Mets game at Coors Field has been rescheduled to 3:40 p.m. due to predicted storms.

DENVER – Monday’s Colorado Rockies vs. New York Mets game will be played in the afternoon due to inclement weather expected that evening.

First pitch was originally scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Monday at Coors Field. The Rockies said in an announcement Sunday that the time is now set for 3:40 p.m.

Tickets for the originally scheduled 6:40 pm game are valid for the 3:40 pm game.

Ticket holders who purchased directly from the Rockies and cannot attend the rescheduled game will be contacted via email with details about their options. Those who purchased tickets from secondary marketplaces such as SeatGeek, but cannot attend the afternoon game, should contact a ticket reseller. Secondary market tickets are not valid for credit/refund or exchange through Rockies.

Monday’s game is the first of a three-game set between the Rockies and Mets at Lodo, ​​with the second and third games scheduled for Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon.

A cold front is expected to move into Denver on Monday afternoon, bringing the possibility of scattered rain and thunderstorms through the evening. Temperatures will remain in the 30s for most of the day Tuesday, with a chance of rain in Denver, a mix of rain and snow, and possibly even snow Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

It’s not unusual for Denver to see an average of 1.7 inches of snowfall in May, but it’s been four years since that last happened. Denver received 2.3 inches of snowfall in May 2022.
