TALLAHASSEE, Florida (WCTV) – The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting multiple crashes within a matter of minutes along I-10 Wednesday evening.
Troopers say there were a total of seven vehicle crashes on eastbound I-10 and four westbound crashes. Only minor injuries have been reported.
Traffic cameras showed a car overturned on its roof on the side of the road near mile marker 201 at about 6 p.m., and several cars were flipped over the side. About an hour later, cameras showed a tow truck pulling out an overturned car while troopers directed traffic around the scene.
It is not clear how many vehicles were involved in that accident and how many people were injured.
A few miles down the road, near mile marker 199, FHP reported there was another collision at about 6:12 p.m.
Meanwhile, FHP reported another crash on eastbound I-10, near mile marker 203. Troopers say the roadway near the accident site is clear.
Heavy rain fell in North Tallahassee on Wednesday evening, but it is unclear whether the storm contributed to the collisions.
