Prime Day brings plenty of Apple deals, but one of the most useful is a new deal if you’re planning on traveling this summer on or after the 4th of July weekend. airtag. The four-pack has dropped to a new low of $90 ($9 off) at Amazon and Best Buy, bringing the price of each tracker down to about $22.50. It’s not a big deal, but it’s the first time we’ve seen such a steep discount on Apple’s latest AirTags since they launched earlier this year. If you need more trackers, Costco is offering members a five-pack of AirTags for $99.99, with the fifth tracker offered at no additional cost.
If you have an iPhone, I would recommend purchasing an AirTag rather than any of the other Bluetooth trackers available. Unlike rivals, which show the approximate location of an item, AirTags can use onscreen arrows, vibrations and sounds to guide you straight to them. The original model already did an impressive job, but thanks to the advanced ultra-wideband chip the latest version can more helpfully guide you up to 50 percent farther. Apple has also increased the speaker volume by 50 percent, making it easier to hear the AirTags when they’re hidden in a closet or otherwise out of sight.
Although some major features have evolved, Apple has kept some of the tracker’s best features unchanged. It still runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery and has the same IP67 water and dust resistance rating as its predecessor. Apple has also kept useful features like AirTag sharing, which lets up to five people track the same item. You can still temporarily share the location of a lost item with participating airlines like United, Delta, and American Airlines to help recover lost items.
