“I feel like she was somebody that I always thought was going to have a seamless transition because of her approach to the game,” Wilson said Thursday, per Landon Buford. “It’s already very professional, even in college.”
The Las Vegas Aces All-Star added, “I feel like there were always mistakes made with me in college, but I felt like when it came to Azzi, she was very steady-minded. Her mental state is always very tough. So, her transformation is no surprise to me. I think she’s doing a great job. Obviously, she’s going to have her ups and downs. It comes with being a newbie, but I think she’s really nailed it.” I’ve handled it well.”
Wilson knows all about the pressure of being selected No. 1 overall, as the Aces selected him first overall in 2018. She has since become a seven-time All-Star, four-time WNBA MVP, three-time Defensive Player of the Year, and three-time WNBA champion. These are ridiculous expectations for Fudd, or anyone not named A’ja Wilson, so let’s focus on examining Fudd’s next career milestone.

“2026 No. 1 overall pick Eazy Fad will make his first career start tonight when the Dallas Wings take on the Las Vegas Aces,” Alexa Filippo reports. “While the Wings have several starting players on IR with illnesses, Fudd is set to make his debut in the starting five regardless of those players’ availability.”
