Trump Mobile will take your $499 right now

Trump Mobile’s T1 phone is now available for anyone to purchase outright. However, the phone has already reached a small number of pre-order customers The Verge Still waiting for both of your handsets – but you can now claim yours without the $100 deposit.

Android Authority The Trump Mobile website saw a change, which now lets you pay $499 straight for the phone instead of paying $100 up front. In true Trump Mobile fashion, they’ve left the website update half-hearted: A page on the site still says you can “join the waiting list” for the phone, while the homepage encourages you to “get in line now,” and still mentions the obsolete $100 deposit.

It’s unclear how fast you’ll actually get the phone. There’s limited evidence that Trump Mobile has shipped more than a handful of phones to customers so far, and it’s possible that anyone ordering today will have to wait for the company to process existing orders first. Or not! This company is strange.

If for some reason you want to buy a T1 phone today, it’ll cost you $499 plus tax. Trump Mobile still describes it as “promotional pricing,” though there’s no sign yet of the price increase that officials told me would return in February. We don’t know when the price of the T1 phone will change, or how much it will ultimately cost, although I was told it will be “less than $1,000.”

For those keeping track at home, I’m thrilled to confirm this week that The Verge has paid for both of its phones in full, though we’re still waiting for confirmation on whether either of them have shipped. Are there any bets on when they will actually arrive?
