
On Friday, Kadokawa announced a three-week theatrical run for the series’ initial episodes starting on September 4. At the time of writing, this screening appears to be exclusive to Japan, but it is not the only showing of the anime. During the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France in June, no defeat Will be eliminated from competition in the “Midnight Special” category.

Developed by Qzil.la and directed by director Kenichi Kutsuna, Sekiro: No Defeat Adaptation shadows die twice Story: Set at the end of the Sengoku period, Shinobi Wolf sets out on a quest to save his young master. To do this, Wolf will cross paths (and blades) with several characters and use his new prostheses to aid in his quest. Along with introducing the game’s story and enemies, the anime also features some of the game’s Japanese actors: Daisuke Namikawa as Wolf, Miyuki Sato as Kuro, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina.
Sekiro: No Defeat It is expected to be released on Crunchyroll later in 2026 for non-Japanese regions. Those theatrical runs are expected to expand outside of Japan before the show comes to television. Until then, you can play (or replay) the game to get an idea of what to expect.
