Ever since Jack decided to stay behind in 2010, I’ve been looking for something that can give me the same feeling lost Did. FromThe fourth season of will premiere on April 19, and parallels lost Are infallible. It takes place in a small town in America where people occasionally visit but never actually leave. To make things worse, demons disguised as humans roam the night, torturing and killing anyone who stays out after dark or is foolish enough to invite them into their homes. The city’s residents must work together to stay safe and rebuild something resembling a normal life, while still searching for answers as to what they are doing there, and how they can get home. it’s like this lost The island is much scarier. as well as lostThe mysteries pile up at an incredible rate. If someone overhears you and your friend discussing From, This will seem vague. There are magical amulets, evil ballerinas, lightning that comes out of nowhere, and copious unexplained dream sequences. The cast is huge (and it grows at a few different points) and the show doesn’t skimp on shocking deaths. also like lostThere are key elements that make you rethink all your assumptions about the show; For example, a voice on the radio, or a missing dungeon. Then how did I miss this show? It feels like it was designed in a laboratory to give me the exact dose lost I am looking for? It’s simple: There are lots of streaming services. From It airs on MGM Plus, formerly known as Epix, which is under the Amazon umbrella but is inexplicably still a separate platform from Prime Video. This is a service I was vaguely aware of but had no reason to check out, other than some mild curiosity about the Stephen King adaptation. institute, I never cared about it. The streaming landscape is dominated by a few big names, but there are plenty of others fighting for scraps, like MGM. This is a challenging place. Netflix got off to a good start and hasn’t looked back, while Disney has been able to leverage its attractive lineup of properties to lure subscribers. Amazon and Apple are spending a lot of money on this problem, but are still far behind the competition. In such a world, something like MGM Plus was always destined to have a niche. This means it’s now incredibly easy to miss a show entirely. Hey, it’s my job to follow the TV industry and it still happens to me. Things get even more difficult when you take into account how busy the major platforms are, with Netflix expanding into everything from live TV to sports in addition to its traditional programming. Jumping to another streaming service is also a hard sell if I can’t maintain what I already have.
I don’t know what the solution is. Not that it would be a good idea to have one monolithic streamer with everything to do, especially in an industry that is constantly battling the effects of consolidation. But I know the current state of streaming is difficult for everyone to navigate. There are so many options and they are becoming increasingly expensive. I currently have subscriptions to four different streaming services and still Pay for cable. It makes it easier for shows like From Slipping through the cracks.
There’s at least one benefit to learning about a show late: binge-watching it. From With the season coming in a very manageable pack of 10 episodes, this lends itself well, with its cliffhangers and revelations.
