Show HN: 48 absurd web projects – one every month

A year ago I posted about a little experiment here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44162363Every month I create an absurd web project and publish it on https://absurd.website

I kept walking.

Now there are 48 projects.

The idea is still the same – I create mostly unnecessary web projects that sit somewhere between experiments, jokes, products, and art.

But with time they have started moving more towards net art rather than experimental web.

Some recent:

VandalAds – a banner format that you can destroy instead of watching Type Therapy – instead of confirming, you type your thoughts to change them Slow Rebranding – branding changes so slowly that you don’t notice it Guard Simulator – a crime is visible for 15 seconds per day, if you catch it you win

I started releasing some projects for members only, so not everything is public anymore.

The thing I like most is the rhythm: a public project and a private project every month. It forces me to bring ideas to life instead of leaving them in notes.

The core is still always the idea and concept – not the polish, not the implementation, not even the usability.

It’s also interesting to see whether people understand the idea within a project, find something else in it, or see nothing at all.

I’m still going, and the Absurd.website has become a big part of my life at this point.

Thank you.
