Exclusive: Prime Video has swooped in for the rights embassySix Realms action-thriller series starring Anna Kendrick, Sam Heughan and JK Simmons.
The streamer acquired rights in the UK, Ireland, Canada, France, Australia and New Zealand for a six-part AGC television series, which is set to launch next year. AGC, Ascendant Fox and Turbine Studios are producing the show, which is being bought internationally by AGC International, with Hannah Blyth of Prime Video’s UK acquisitions team licensing it to Amazon.
We’ve also learned that shooting has begun in Cologne and London, and there’s news of additional casting.

Although the deal came through Prime Video’s acquisitions team, news of the pickup comes just hours after Amazon revealed it had appointed Apple TV commissioner Oliver Jones as senior commissioner for UK scripted. He is starting in May and will relocate from LA back to London for this role and will work closely with Nicole Clemens, VP, International Originals.
