Typing and mouse activity are solid signals, but they miss the exact moments I cared about. You can sit there and not touch anything while watching or reading something, and most devices will think you’re away.
Mike found it a little too invasive, and I wanted to keep the privacy story really clean.
The camera gave me the most reliable “are you really there” signal, and since it’s all on the device with system indicators, it felt like the perfect compromise. I may include activity signals later, but more as a supplement than a core.
