I’m extremely grateful to Sam, Mark, Aditya, and Jacob for fostering a research environment that allowed us to pursue ideas outside the box from the company’s core roadmap. It’s tempting to limit collapse to the most important thing in life, but growing entropy is the only way for a research lab to thrive long-term, and Sam understands this deeply. Sora was a project that couldn’t have happened anywhere else but OpenAI, and I will always love this place deeply for it.
