NTSC-RS is the kind of retro tool I really like.
Most VHS filters produce a fake vibe from the outside. NTSC-RS goes lower and simulates the NTSC/VHS signal path itself, so artifacts feel less like presets and more like actual glitches.
You can use it as a standalone app, in the browser, or as a plugin inside Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and other OpenFX editors.
There is something strange about this category. The artifacts that people tried so hard to avoid have now become the very forms that people want back.
Maybe every medium will eventually turn its failure methods into aesthetics..!
