Meet the New Dyson Vacuums: V16 Piston Animal, V10 Konical, V8 Cyclone (2026)

Dyson’s vacuum lineup A new look was planned for this year. Some vacuums have already arrived, like the Dyson PencilVac and the Dyson Spot+Scrub robot vacuum, but others we’re still waiting to see. That wait is over this month, as Dyson has finally revealed the rest of its highly anticipated models.

Dyson now has three new cordless vacuums you can buy, along with a submarine head variant: the Dyson V16 Piston Animal ($980) and the Dyson V16 Piston Animal Submariner ($1,100), the Dyson V10 Conical ($500), and the Dyson V8 Cyclone ($400). With the addition of other vacuums launched by the brand this year, Dyson’s lineup is bigger than ever.

Here’s what’s different about each new model, what’s yet to come, and whether it’s time to start shopping for a new Dyson vacuum.

Dyson calls the V16 Piston Animal ($980) its most powerful cordless vacuum yet. It has 315 air-watts of suction power and a new Dyson Hyperdymium 900-watt motor. There’s a new cleaner head – the All Floor Cones Sense – with a conical brush bar that looks like the PencilVac FluffyCones, with a similar design and color scheme. The All Floor Cones Sense head also promises to detect and automatically respond to changes in floor type (hence “Sense”). It still comes with the fluffy optic cleaner head for hard floors, as seen on the V15 Detect and Gen5detect.

The V16 Piston Animal also has a debris bin that can compress dust and debris, keeping it for up to 30 days. It now also has an emptying mechanism that lets you push the debris out, making it easier to empty. Dyson has promised a self-emptying docking station for this model, but it’s not available yet; Dyson says it will be available for purchase in the future.

There is also a Submariner version which is priced at $1,100. That version adds a wet roller head, similar to the V15 Detect Submariner, but Dyson says this version has new hydration control technology for more targeted water use during cleaning, and a boost mode for when you’re dealing with stains.
