Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool on Wimbledon win, topping world rankings & Louis Cayer’s influence

There’s only one thing Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool haven’t been able to agree on this year.

In their first full season together, the British pair won the Wimbledon men’s doubles title and achieved the year-end world number one ranking.

However, his post-season diaries are another matter.

Glasspool will celebrate their victorious season with a dinner at a luxury London restaurant with family, team members and sponsors.

But, due to a previously booked holiday in Tenerife, Cash will be forced to miss the holiday.

Glasspool joked, “Everyone will be there – except Jules. He’ll be on a drunken boys’ trip.”

Cash said with a laugh, “There will be some beers, but mostly golf and paddle. We’ll both be celebrating – just different.”

The easy exchange demonstrates the camaraderie that has helped 29-year-old Cash and 32-year-old Glasspool become the best men’s team in the world.

His rise has also helped to secure Britain’s place as the leading force in men’s doubles.
