I don’t know if it’s something else, over and over again, but we are watching the wind, watching the dust being blown away. That’s why it is reaching us very fast. Shane. Zoom in a little on the exact same area. This is going to be really hard to watch. I mean, we’re splitting hairs here when trying to find something that doesn’t necessarily have storm circulation. There can definitely be strong straight line winds

A flash of lightning was captured on camera in central Oklahoma as severe storms with extremely dangerous winds swept through the state. KOCO 5 First Alert Storm Chaser Shane Helton captured multiple lightning flashes in El Reno around 1:35 a.m. The area was part of a severe storm and tornado warning. A few minutes later, winds of 70 mph were reported in El Reno. KOCO 5 First Alert Storm Chaser Shane Helton captured multiple power flashes in El Reno around 1:35 p.m.
The area was part of a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning. A few minutes later, winds of 70 mph were reported in El Reno.
In Hinton, just west of El Reno, wind gusts of 102 mph were reported within the same storm system.
