The news was confirmed at CinemaCon tonight with a teaser, which also lists the rest of the main cast for the upcoming film:

Andy Serkis, who also directs, plays Gollum and Smeagol; Ian McKellen returns as Galdulf, Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins and Lee Pace as Thranduil; And then there’s Dornan as Strider aka Aragorn. Also in the cast are characters we are not immediately familiar with: Kate Winslet as Marigol and Leo Woodall as Halvord.
