
Some viewers were disappointed with the second season dragon house Ended not with a bang, but with a whimper. But the big battle sequence set up in Season 2, judging by the latest trailer, will kick off Season 3 with a bang, with all the dragons, fire, and blood that Westeros is known for.

As previously reported, the story takes place approximately 200 years before the events of the series. game of Thrones, Chronicles the beginning of when dragons were still a part of Westeros, and the end of the reign of House Targaryen. Primary source material is fire and bloodA fictional history of the Targaryen kings, written by George RR Martin. As book readers know, those events culminated in civil war and the extinction of dragons – at least until Daenerys Targaryen arrived.
The second season featured plenty of politics and scheming machinations, but we didn’t get to see Gullett’s spectacularly brutal battle, as HBO cut the number of episodes for S2 from 10 to eight. Yet, the S2 finale nailed it all, as Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) finally declared outright dragon war following Aemond’s (Evan Mitchell) reckless destruction of the Sharp Point. As for Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), when his brother took the throne – which, remember, Aegon had usurped from the rightful designated heir, Rhaenyra – he went into hiding in Braavos with the intention of waiting out the war.
Most of the main cast – whose characters survived in S2 – are returning, including D’Arcy, Glynn-Carney and Mitchell.
