Here’s a Taste of Just How Creepy ‘Obsession’ Gets

Passion will finally hit theaters next week, and horror fans lucky enough to see the film during the festival can finally see what the fuss is about. The trailers have been scary; News is that director Kari Barker has some exciting new projects in the works, including a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre The film has only increased the interest in this film. Today, Focus Features has shared a clip that’s just over a minute long – enough time to make us cringe in the best possible way.

For context, Bear (Michael Johnson) has had a long-time crush on Nikki (Inde Navarrete). She’s beautiful, she’s nice, and she’s definitely someone he wants to spend more time with. He sneaks out of the friend zone with the help of what he thinks is just a silly novelty toy, hoping Nikki will fall for him – only to learn that the powers of “One Wish Willow” are totally real. Very quickly, the situation distorts her romantic dreams into something terrifying.

For example, this date: A viewer might think Nikki is making a scene at dinner when Bear asks her a painful question — except she sounds almost obsessed when she gets up to answer. Her heightened reaction is not “normal upset”; It appears that these “dark forces are controlling me” are troubling.
