Claude Code Opus 4.7 keeps checking on malware

So during development, on every task I start, I see a line like this:`Own bug file – not malware.`

It seems to be obsessively checking if this malware is working on production.

In another situation where I was working on a parser of an HTML document with JS, he refused because he believed I was bypassing security measurements.

I believe that AI should be helpful in the work I am doing. When it’s obsessively checking me to see if I’m doing something wrong or abusing the system, I feel like it’s controlling me. I understand that we have guardrails and I also think that it’s very important that people don’t abuse this new technology for bad things.

I pay $200 per month for max membership. They already know who I am. The cloud knows that I work in scraper technology, and it also knows that our customers are the companies we scrape.

Now with Opus 4.7, my situation is that it refused to continue because I asked to automate cookie creation with the Chrome extension.

In a situation where someone is misusing the system, let’s say create malware or create hacking content with bad intentions. I can imagine that there would be some signaling system or algorithm that could form an opinion about someone’s intentions. But now that AI is limiting my work, I am feeling a little hindered. After all, who does this system think is limiting me?

Will I accept this in the future? This system will tell me that I can’t continue working because I don’t have enough authority or confidence that I’m doing anything wrong.

I can work fine on local AI on my Blackwell GPU. But of course, I want to use the latest technology, the latest AI, and the best models available. Is this the beginning of division? Where nice guys and naughty guys make different choices? Am I a bad guy now?

Last year I turned 40. I grew up reading, talking about Kevin Mitnick. I was a member of a local computer club. Hacking stuff as a 14 year old kid with the intent not to break anything but to beat the system. Is that area gone now? Will the new generation accept that they will have to please AI?
