“If you wait until June, most of our supply constraints will be on many Mac models,” Cook said. “We think it may take several months for the Mac mini and Mac Studio to reach supply-demand balance.” He said both devices saw “higher than expected demand”, with many people purchasing the devices to use with AI agents such as OpenClaw.
The global memory shortage also poses challenges for Apple, as Cook said the company expects “significantly higher memory costs” going forward, which could have a “crippling impact” on Apple’s business.
