Alex Jones has uncovered another massive conspiracy

Alex Jones may lose soon InfowarsThe digital perch he has used for decades to spread conspiracy theories at the satirical newspaper The Onion. But not before he reveals something truly funky: comedian Tim Heidecker’s past (publicly available) work.

“The Onion newspaper is shocked by the discovery that their new creative director has produced pro pedo/child abduction, torture and murder programs,” Jones wrote on X on Friday. “Below is an actual mug shot of the creep..” he continued. The post included a fake mugshot of Heidecker taken from the 2017 Adult Swim courtroom series, in which he is on trial for 20 counts of 2nd degree murder.

Since news broke on Monday that The Onion is nearing a new deal to take over Infowars from Jones — and bringing in Heidecker to serve as the site’s new creative director — the conspiracy theorist has been posting about the comedian’s past work on X. In one 30-minute segment, Jones describes and responds to the plays of Heidecker and collaborator Eric Wareheim.

“⚠️Extreme Viewer Discretion Advisory: The Man Appointed By The Onion To Take Over Infowars Teamed Up With Will Ferrell To Produce A Pro-Pedophile/Child Torture And Murder Show For Adult Swim Who Participated In Satanic Rituals With Spirit Cooking High Priestess Marina Abramovic!”. Jones wrote. they played clips from here Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! Like the thing about hireable child clowns. This style is surreal, loud, weird and very clearly fake.

It’s not clear whether Jones realizes that “mugshot” is part of it — but he certainly expects his audience to believe what he says. Always the opportunist, Jones makes a plea to his base.

“That’s what we’re up against,” says Jones. “So literally, if you don’t spread the word of mouth about what we’re doing, if you don’t pray for the broadcast, if you don’t support us financially, you’re literally aiding and abetting these people.”

Jones also claimed that there are “whistleblowers” inside Adult Swim and that there are “even more things coming from inside the show” that were not aired. An email sent to Jones’ site went unanswered.

For years, Jones has used his online platform to enrich himself by selling merchandise, dietary supplements, and sketchy health products while spreading lies and conspiracy theories. In 2022, Jones was ordered to pay $1.5 billion to the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting, which he claimed was a hoax. Jones repeated similar claims this week.

This new deal for The Onion to run InfoWars follows a legal back-and-forth through 2024, in which a court-appointed trustee and the Sandy Hook families selected The Onion’s bid to take over the site. After a judge initially blocked that deal, The Onion came back with a new licensing deal in which they would pay to use InfoWars IP. The new deal still needs to be approved by a judge.

“This is not a smart guy, and it’s so much fun to watch it all unfold. That he used a fake mugshot from a fake trial about a fake music festival on a very famous national TV show and presented it as a ‘real mugshot’ should give you an idea of what kind of reporting methods this guy has used over the years,” Ben Collins, CEO of The Onion, said via email. “While we’re very happy that this era of InfoWars is almost over, we’re admiring this extremely fun crashout from a distance as we build something even better that we hope to launch next week.”

“In the meantime, all true InfoWars fans concerned about being exposed to Satan’s influence should visit TheOnion.Info to purchase Demon Guard™, the only patch that provides 24-hour sacred protection against all dark entities.”
