Of course, that’s the title Spider-Man: Brand New DayAnd at CinemaCon 2026, audiences saw Peter Parker (Tom Holland) go through even more struggles this time. She has spent years saving the world by erasing her memories, and now, when her former friends are visiting from college, new problems arise, both external and internal.

Holland recorded a video for the event where he called brand new Day most emotional and adult spider man The movie so far, a new day indeed. To show this, they showed a scene, parts of which we saw in the first trailer. Peter is sitting in the bodega when Ned walks in looking for some mini-casks. He buys them, and Peter follows him to a party. A housewarming for Ned and his roommate, MJ.
Peter cancels the party, drinks a lot of beer, and finds himself in Ned’s bedroom. There, he finds a Chewbacca mini-figure, which is a nice callback, and then looks at a bulletin board. It is full of news articles about Spider-Man. Ned comes out of the bathroom and admits that he is trying to find out who he is. Not because he’s scary or wants to expose him, but because Ned points out that Spider-Man saved him and his friends a few times in high school, and he would love to thank him in person.
Ned started to break it down. He knows Spidey is from Queens and has narrowed it down to a few neighborhoods. They say they have two prime suspects and show photos of Tony Revolori as the Flash and Martin Starr as Mr. Harrington. Peter laughed.
As this is happening, MJ walks in. She is concerned that there are too many people in their apartment and says there is a possibility that some of them are sociopaths. She says hello to Peter, and he gives her flowers. She asks his name, and he says it’s “Maynard”, although he can barely tell. Ned assumes they know each other, since he is at the party after all, but he says he is just a neighbor. “A friendly neighbor,” she says.
Ned asked MJ if she went for the interview today, and she went. In fact, he got the job. But he rejected it. She says, “I don’t want to work for a soulless corporation.” Ned understands but says it’s like every corporation. But, MJ says, something is telling her she should wait for something great. As she says this she looks towards Peter, who is a character Star Wars: AhsokaIman Esfandi enters the scene.
We don’t get his name (fingers crossed that it’s not “Paul”), but he brings them some top-shelf wine, which Ned appreciates. He then walks over to MJ and kisses her, saying, “That’s my girl.” Peter sees this and leaves.
This scene was followed by a few shots from the trailer, followed by a new scene in which Spider-Man stands in front of a group of thugs and extends his hands before beating them up. He jokes that he is no longer as young as he used to be.
So, we still don’t know who the villain is or what the story is, but we do know that a slightly older and wiser Peter is facing a lot more than just villains. He is confronting the effects of his past.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi), Spider-Man: All New Day brings back Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo from different corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then adds new characters played by Sadie Sink. (Stranger Things) and trammel tillman (dissociate). It will open on 31st July.
