Former WIRED contributor Andrew Wattman reviewed it for us in 2024, giving it a solid 7/10 and confirming that it’s every bit the statement piece it’s designed to be. Just saw it for the first time yesterday, I agree.

I’m not sure I can overstate how good the Rocco looks in person. The metal, color-matched tray on top and fluted glass on the front are meant to refract light to prevent UV rays from damaging your kombucha or kava. The metal body somehow looks retro and completely contemporary at the same time and will fit in with almost any decor.
Rocco App via Andrew Wattman
The key feature of the Rocco, besides coming in eight colors — including black, white, two blues, orange, yellow, green (shown), and a new beige — is its smart app. It allows you to view the contents of the fridge as scanned by the fridge and control the lights and temperature remotely. When Wightman tested it, he was impressed by the library of beverages the fridge recognized, ranging from an obscure Oomi algae-infused drink to canned Yate Yerba Mate.
Sadly, the Rocco isn’t on Amazon for Prime Day, but you can get it on a rare seasonal sale right now on Rocco’s website and its 10-year warranty. Only the blue, white, and icy blue colors are $400 off, but all other colors are $300 off, now through July 5.
As a bonus, if you buy during the sale, you’ll get 12 cans of Tropical Mango Trip to keep in your fridge, which appears to be some kind of magnesium-based functional drink. (No doubt detected by Rocco’s scanner.)
While you’re here, be sure to check out the rest of our Prime Day coverage, including the absolute best deals, and hot takes and sales on our all-day live blog running each day of the event.
