Think Advisors’ R&D tax credit unit joins Crete Professionals Alliance

Think Advisors, a US-based tax consulting practice, has announced that its R&D Tax Credit Services practice has joined the Crete Professionals Alliance, a national network of accounting and advisory firms.

The move also covers the R&D (research and development) tax credit exercise of Think’s wholly owned subsidiary Black Line Group.

Think Advisors provides federal and state R&D tax credit services nationwide to eligible businesses in a variety of industries.

The partnership adds “tax credit expertise” to the Crete platform, strengthening the tax solutions that member companies can offer their clients, it said in a statement.

For Think, the partnership is set to expand the reach of its services to a broader US reach.

Think Managing Partner David Meyer said: “Our partnership with Crete Professionals Alliance represents a great opportunity for us and an exciting new chapter for our R&D tax credit services practices.

“By joining Crete, we have our eyes on the future, enhancing the tools and support available to our team while staying true to the culture, values and personalized service that have defined our R&D tax credit service practices for the past two decades.”

Within the Crete Professionals Alliance, Think will continue to operate with its existing team and leadership structure.

Through the network, it will be connected to more than 40 accounting practices and will have access to shared corporate support functions including human resources, finance, legal and IT services.

The arrangement also provides Think with AI-enabled tools and automation platforms designed to support service delivery and business growth.

Steve Stagner, CEO of Crete Professionals Alliance, said: “We are intentionally creating a platform that brings together companies with deep, specialized expertise that can support a broad network.

“Think Advisors is a leader in R&D tax credit services, and their capabilities will be a valuable resource to our partner firms and their clients.

“This is exactly the kind of partnership that strengthens the platform: expanding what we can collectively provide while helping specialized teams like Think grow their impact.”
