Apple raised the prices of Macs and iPads in response to the rising cost of memory chips right in the middle of Amazon Prime Day. This means that existing discounts (even small ones) on Apple laptops like the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro become much better deals.
For example, the 13-inch MacBook Air M5, which used to start at $1,099 and is currently on sale for $949.99 (at Costco), will soon have its full retail price of $1,299. That initial $150 discount turned into a $350 savings compared to Apple’s upcoming price.
There’s no guarantee how long the current sale will last, and there’s no official word on when the major laptop retailers will reset all of their Mac pricing to reflect the increase. Best Buy and B&H Photo have already updated their pricing, but some of the old prices or even cheaper deals still exist on Amazon. Costco lists its members-only deals as valid through June 26 or 27.
If you’re considering purchasing an Apple computer, it may be best to make this move while it’s still possible. We’re outlining all the deals we could find below.

Apple’s most affordable laptop, with a 13-inch display, A18 Pro chip, 8GB of RAM, and optional Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Read our review.
Base 256GB MacBook Neo Selling for $589.99 Amazon and Costco (in citrus color only). Normally this would be a modest $10 discount, but with Apple raising the base price of the Neo to $699 that’s now a savings of $110. 512GB version with Touch ID It’s $689.99 at Amazon and Costco ($110 off the new price). Best Buy still has the base 256GB model and 512GB model available at their old prices of $599 and $699, respectively. This will at least save you a $100 price increase for now.

$950
Apple’s 2026 MacBook Air has an M5 chip and starts with 512GB of storage which is significantly faster than previous generations. Despite the higher base price, it’s still as excellent as ever. Read our review.
Base 13 inch macbook air It costs $949 with the M5 chip, 16GB memory, and 512GB storage Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco. That’s a much better price than the $1,299 Apple is charging now, but you’ll have to be a Costco member. The 13-inch Air with two more GPU cores and 1TB of storage costs $1,149.99 at Amazon ($449 less than the new price). 15 inch air The base 16GB/512GB configuration is currently on sale at Amazon for $1,149.99 ($350 less than the new price). best Buy, And Costco.
As good as the Neo is, the Air is still Apple’s best all-around laptop. Its balance of performance, battery life and portability is still unmatched. And for $949 or $1,149 you’re getting a laptop that will last you more than a decade, but sadly it’s such a good deal now.

Apple’s 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro takes everything we loved about the M4 model — including all-day battery life and a 12-megapixel webcam — and improves on it with the M5 chip. It also offers faster storage and a 10-core CPU/10-core GPU that is up to 3.5x faster on AI tasks. Read our review.
Base 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 chip If you do frequent content creation, but can’t imagine paying very high M5 Pro/M5 Max prices, this is my personal favorite replacement in Apple’s lineup. It’s on sale at Amazon for $1,549.99 ($450 off Apple’s new MSRP)best Buy, And Costco. The revised base model for 2026 comes with 16GB of RAM, 1TB of faster storage, and plenty of ports. It’s an ideal step up from the MacBook Air, but paying Apple’s new price of $1,999 makes it much less attainable than before.

The high-end M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pros come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Here’s a breakdown of what the base configuration of each starts at, along with Apple’s new price, and what you can currently buy it for:
- 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro (15-core CPU / 16-core GPU, 24GB, 1TB): $2,049.99 at Amazon ($449 off the new price of $2,499)
and best buy - 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro (18-core CPU / 20-core GPU, 24GB, 1TB): $2,549.99 at Amazon ($449 off the new price of $2,999)
- 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max (18-core CPU / 32-core GPU, 36GB, 2TB): $3,299.99 at Amazon ($800 off the new price of $4,099)
or $3,319 at Best Buy - 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max (18-core CPU / 32-core GPU, 36GB, 2TB): $3,649.99 at Amazon ($750 off the new price of $4,399)
There are certainly many different configurations of the current MacBook Pro, with RAM and storage upgrades that climb to exorbitant amounts – too many to list neatly without becoming overwhelming. But the base configurations for all the above models are also excellent.

The 10-core M4 iMac with four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of just two costs $1,349.99 ($350 off the new price) Best Buy and Costco.
We may not all agree on why the 24-inch iMac still exists or who needs one, but it’s a lovely all-in-one computer. And thanks to the AI Brothers and their OpenClaw agents the Mac Mini and Studio are impossible to find. Womb.
