The Web has a superpower: permission-less link sharing.
I send you a link and as long as you have an agent, i.e. a browser (or mere HTTP client), you can access the content on that link.
This ability to create and disseminate links is almost revolutionary against the backdrop of today’s platforms.
For some people, hyperlinks are dangerous and should be controlled:
And yet, we continue to link:
- Whatever we want (👋Apple)
- Although we sometimes want to (👋 meta)
- And there is no hope of return (👋 Google/Open AI)
Why? Because it is a web. Interrelationship is the whole point.
The links make the whole. Without links, there is no whole. No links means no web, just silos. Solitude. Lack of connection.
Overturn the status quo. Own a website. Create and share links.
