During Sony’s State of Play event, the developer showed off its take on the classic Marvel character. like recent spider man Games, it is an action-adventure affair that sees Logan traveling across the world, searching for answers to his past and saving innocent mutants. Like most X-Men stories, the game is based in a world where they are not very prominent, hence their ability to travel without attracting much attention. In gameplay reveals, Logan uses his claws to cut down Reavers either head-on or with a stealth takedown. He’s trying to rescue some kidnapped mutants, and he’s not alone on the way: Team X leader Jean Gray comes to help with her telekinesis, and they even perform a takedown together. After a brief motorcycle segment, Wolverine boards the convoy and kills more Reavers using his abilities to jump between transports and execute certain special attacks. As he is wild, he can get into the fight, but a few quick button presses will restore his health and bring him back into the fight.
As its reveal trailer teased, marvel’s wolverine Many X-Men staples are also being included. Adjacent characters like Omega Red and Mystique will pop in and out of the story, as well as a Deadpool look-alike and Logan’s longtime foe Sabretooth. Oh, and there’ll be a Sentinel or four for Wolverine to fight, because his life is such a mess.
