And now, that legacy is getting perhaps the most fitting tribute to Spider-Man: a very cool Hot Toys figure.

Not content with just threatening your wallet with new Predator Badlands Recently revealed, today Hot Toys announced it will be creating the first-ever 1:6 scale replica of Takuya Yamashiro’s classic costume from the 1978 Spider-Man.

Featuring an opening spider-bracelet on the left wrist – the multi-purpose communicator device Takuya uses to transform into his suit, summon his giant robot panther, and even shoot webs – the figure comes with a series of alternate hands and multiple webbing effect pieces to recreate the TV show’s iconic poses and stances, including a webbing arch to render Spider-Man mid-swing Also includes bendable rope. The release is completed with a special display stand that mimics the show’s opening title card (and its iconic theme song), which also has a separate acrylic display piece of the show’s logo for you to pose Takuya on.

Hot Toys’ line of Spidey figures has featured deep cuts and nods to the character’s comic book, video game and film adaptation history, but it’s nice to see this classic TV iteration of one of Marvel’s most beloved heroes finally get the spotlight it deserves. The 1:6 1978 Spider-Man is expected to be released sometime between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 next year, and while he’s not available for preorder in the US yet, you can probably expect to pay around the usual $250, according to Hot Toys.
