We look at all those long, annoying lists and break them down into a few dozen titles that we think are noteworthy this month. Some are new, some are old, but either way, we’ll tell you why you should care. Or at least joke about it.

Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (On Netflix January 1)
Sue me, but it still feels new to me Ghost BustersYes, Paul Feig, starring women, is the best of the new generation Ghost Busters Movies. It really took what made the original so great (goofy! funny! exciting!) and tried to do that, instead of relying on nostalgia. And no, I will not be answering calls regarding my opinion at this time.
harry and henderson (On Netflix January 1)
I probably haven’t seen the movie in 30 or so years, but when it came out in 1987, it was the pinnacle of visual effects and comedy. Bigfoot lives with a family. what’s not to love?
bad boy (On Netflix January 1)
We didn’t know how good it was for us two decades ago when Guillermo del Toro was making incredible comic book adaptations, but yes, it was good.
11.22.63 (January 7 on Netflix)
This miniseries, created by JJ Abrams based on the novel by Stephen King, never got the love it deserved after its release, but it’s actually pretty good. James Franco (uh, we know) plays a man who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Indiana Jones Saga (January 1 on Disney+)
The first four films of the franchise-Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull—Head back home to Disney+. But actually, they are in a museum.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (January 22 on Disney+)
Second poison The film starring Woody Harrelson as Carnage is fun, weird, and worth a watch. Plus, we’re also excited to see Spidey’s symbiote foe on Disney+.
wonder man (January 27 on Disney+)
The first Marvel Studios project of 2026 is the long-awaited story of an actor who is a superhero himself after landing a superhero movie role. We’ve heard a lot of good things about the show, which is dropping its episodes all together.
after 28 weeks (January 1 on Hulu)
Although after 28 years (the kick-off film in the new trilogy) dismissed this movie in its first 30 seconds, we still think the second entry in the zombie franchise is worth a watch.
foolishness (January 1 on Hulu)
The year 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of this Mike Judge bomb, which has since reached not only cult status, but terrifying levels of relevance we didn’t even dare contemplate when it was first released.
Chasm (January 1 on Hulu)

Watch Keanu Reeves kick some ass to ring in the new year. as well as, John Wick: Chapter 2 And John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum Streaming is happening there too.

Just when I was thinking I realized it spaceball 2 Was coming in 2026, it’s actually not until 2027, and I became very sad. But, at least you can watch the unforgettable original on HBO Max.
