popular vr games Moss And its sequel is coming to consoles and PC in a bundle. Moss: Forgotten Relic brings together Moss, Moss: Book II and this twilight garden DLC in one package. Developer Polyarch says the games have been “beautifully enhanced and remastered.”
This was likely a necessity, given that VR games are played differently than traditional flat-screen titles. This is especially true in the case of MossWhich features a unique VR playstyle. In the VR versions, players control a mouse named Quill and act as a kind of god over the entire game world. The VR headset lets players see every corner and take actions to influence the level.
On the other hand, the console and PC versions look more traditional. It features a camera system that follows the mouse avatar, although the trailer doesn’t make it clear how it works. The footage shows the player performing similar god-like powers in the levels, so that mechanic is still in place.
The developer promises new “handcrafted cutscenes” that are just as fun. There is also a new accessibility option that lets players skip difficult battle sections. This is great for people who just want to solve a few puzzles, of which there are a lot in the game.
Moss: Forgotten Relic Will arrive sometime this summer and will be available for PC via Steam, Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. We don’t have a price right now.
It’s not often that VR games are ported to flat screens, but the opposite is certainly not true. There are VR versions of the Resident Evil games, Hitman games. no man’s sky And Borderlands 2among others.
