Tesla is giving away one year free Supercharging with Model 3 Premium and Performance purchases

Tesla ended its free lifetime Supercharging offer entirely in 2018, but it has since offered customers the benefit of some promotions. For example, it brought back free supercharging for the Model S and The automaker’s latest offer is for new purchases of a Model 3 Premium or Performance vehicle in North America. On its website, Tesla has announced that it is including one year of free Supercharging with the Model 3 Premium or Performance, although the offer is “subject to change or expiration at any time.”

As Electrek Note, this is a nice freebie but it probably isn’t the deciding factor for those who charge at home. However, for those who do not have access to a home charger, this could represent significant savings.

The free supercharging offer starts at the time of delivery and cannot be postponed or redeemed for cash. Owners will still have to pay some fees, such as a congestion charge, which the automaker adds if the vehicle remains plugged into a Supercharger even after its battery reaches 80 percent while a site is busy. The offer also does not apply to vehicles used for commercial purposes such as ridesharing, taxis and delivery services. For those who traded in their gas vehicles to receive the 2,000-mile Supercharging incentive, they can enjoy this freebie earlier and redeem those miles after the first year of ownership.
