Star Trek: Strange New Worlds July 23 via Paramount Plus. Ten episodes will air weekly until September 24. This is actually the second-to-last batch of episodes, as the show was the most recent.
The streamer has released a trailer for season four and it looks promising. The tone seems to be a bit darker than season three, for which it was maligned. The trailer is narrated by Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike, who discusses the “terror” of space as a planet explodes.
it’s still there strange new worldSo it won’t be all doom and gloom. The trailer shows us a screaming alien dinosaur, which is quite fun. There have also been reports of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop involvement in season four.
This new batch of episodes will tie even closer to the original star trek 1960s show. Paul Wesley’s version of Captain Kirk is featured prominently in several scenes, one of which appears to be a direct callback to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. A small Scotty also appears.
For the uneducated, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is a prequel to the first show and begins several years before Kirk takes over as captain of the Enterprise. It has been said that the series will end with Kirk taking over the big chair. It is also primarily an episodic series, with no actual serialized season-long arc. !
This too is coming to an end in the near future. Season five will likely premiere next year and will only consist of six episodes. In fact, it looks like the modern incarnation of Star Trek is coming to an end in its entirety. Sets are being removed and are currently happening for the first time in a decade.
It’s a weird thing, there’s some new material. upcoming second season of Starfleet Academy This would be its last, which is exceptionally sad because it really was. There was 12 years between the final episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise and the first episode of Star Trek: DiscoveryWhich started the modern era. Who knows how long we will have to wait this time.
