Spider-Man Gets Two New Comics for ‘Brand New Day’ Synergy

We may not have a trailer for this Spider-Man: Brand New Day So far, but Marvel has got two new comic books to take advantage of the upcoming movie.

Earlier this week, the publisher announced Spider-Man: Long Way Home From Jonathan Hickman and Adam Kubert. The five-issue story sees Peter working with and against his future cinematic co-stars, the Hulk and the Punisher, to retrieve the Cosmic Cube from AIM in South America. None of them trust each other, and over the course of the adventure, things will go to hell for each of them. long way Home, Similar to Hickman and Greg Capullo Wolverine: Revenge, It’s in its own continuity and so early in the Hulk and Punisher’s individual careers that they are basically urban legends.

On the other end of the spectrum, you’ll find Dan Slott, Marcus To, and Marcos Martin The Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day. In this ongoing series, Spider-Man finds a directory called the Lexicon that contains important information on the Kingpin’s operations around New York, which he thinks can help him do some good. Unfortunately, this makes him the target of not only the Kingpin, but also Mister Negative and The Punisher.

While the negative and kingpin have not been fully confirmed brand new Day, The Hulk and Punisher were shown in a leaked trailer for the film late last year. It’s safe to say that both of these books get Spidey back into synergy mode, no matter how long it’s been scenic goes on, and you probably shouldn’t be surprised if other characters from the movie, like Scorpion, Tombstone, or even Daredevil, appear in the pages of either book.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Before this it will be released in theaters on 31st July. The Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day Hitting shelves on May 13th and Spider-Man: Long Way Home On 17th June.
