No, not the Galaxy Z Trifold, which launched and then was discontinued so fast it’s as if it never happened. I’m talking about the new “wide” foldable, which is rumored to launch this summer as a follow-up to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 phones.
Leaker Sonny Dixon took to X (via 9to5google) to post some alleged dummy models of Samsung’s foldable lineup for this summer, including both the Fold 8 and Flip 8, as well as the new wide phone.

Samsung is selling refurbished Galaxy Z Fold 7 phones for more than new ones
In the pictures, you can clearly see a device with a significantly different form factor from the other two phones currently out there. The Fold 8 and Flip 8 models look very similar to last year’s, but the Wide model is more squat and wider when unfolded, making it almost reminiscent of Google’s first Pixel Fold. Its internal display is said to have a 4:3 aspect ratio, making it different from other foldables available right now.
I say “now” because many expect the Samsung Wide model to compete with the heavily rumored iPhone Fold, which is said to launch later this year. Apple’s long-running foldable is believed to be shorter and wider than something like the Z Fold 7, so it’s possible and perhaps even likely that Samsung is already looking to vacate that space with one of its own devices. A recent leak revealed that Samsung’s next batch of foldables will be announced in July, so we won’t have to wait long to find out what its price will be at any rate.
