Rich Paul Opens up About Moving from Friends to More with Adele

Rich Paul represents some of the biggest names in the game, but how his relationship with one of the biggest names in music came about is what he’s talking about now.

The Clutch Sports Group founder, agent and entrepreneur opened up about meeting his longtime partner Adele on the June 9 episode of Craig Melvin’s “Glass Half Full” podcast.

“How did you meet Adele?” Craig asked.

Paul said, “Through a friend. I’d known him for a while.” “You know, when you’re in these circles, man, you’re in these circles. But I never tried to be fresh with people who are in comfortable circles because they always have to deal with it, so that was never my thing. It was really something that happened very naturally.”

Paul, who represents stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, A’ja Wilson and Tyrese Maxey, said he wasn’t very familiar with their music before meeting them.

When asked if he had heard Adele’s music before, he said, “Apparently, you can’t help but listen to monster hits.” “But, no, not at all. But obviously, you know, I’m on the pulse of a lot of different things, and so, you know, some songs, bigger songs, but I didn’t know all the couples I know now.”

Pressed for more details about the origins of their relationship, Paul said that they kept seeing each other.

He said, “We’re all in the same circle, and, you know, we’re hanging out or something.” “We were always seeing each other, laughing and joking. It was very cordial, really, really cordial.”

“Until?” Craig said.

“Until it became so cordial. Until I became the person of interest,” he joked, causing Craig to laugh.

“A suspect,” Craig quipped.

Paul may also be with one of the biggest pop stars in the world, but he said he’s not shy about showing off his pipes.

“I’m the best singer in the house,” he joked.

Adele and Paul began dating in 2021 and have kept their relationship relatively private. Rumors of their engagement in 2024 were sparked when Adele responded to a fan’s poster at one of her concerts, “‘Will you marry me?’ I can’t marry you because I’m already married, so I can’t.
