At NBC Universal’s upfront on Monday, Diesel took the stage and said, “Peacock is launching four shows Fast and the Furious universe.” However, according to The Wrap, the streamer later clarified that only one show is actually being developed. So, the others may not be that far along, or may not be real at all. You can never tell with Diesel. (Also, it’s worth noting that these are live-action shows and fast and furious The franchise made the move to TV for the first time with an animated show on Netflix.)
Diesel said, “As precious as we’ve been about these movies for the last decade, we realized that fans wanted more; they wanted to expand on the legacy characters and stories.” OK, so how specifically? This is more difficult, considering that Paul Walker is no longer with us, but we’ve always wondered, what is Brian doing while his friends and family are busy saving the world? Is he just sitting there looking at his child? Does he play video games? watch the news? He might be doing something important to make his wife, brother-in-law and friends risk their lives while he never helps. (Frankly, it bothers us a lot. We wrote about it here.)
