OpenClaw is now available on iOS and Android, but tread carefully

OpenClaw, the AI agent formerly known as Moltbot, formerly known as Clodbot, is coming to a smartphone near you.

On Tuesday, the company announced in a post on X that its AI agents are now available on iOS and Android.

The post reads, “Finally native mobile apps.” “The agent in your pocket. Channels, tasks, answers on the go.”

OpenClaw is essentially an AI personal assistant. Created by developer Peter Steinberger (who later joined OpenAI), it runs locally on your device and completes tasks like checking emails and marking high-priority ones on your behalf. The tool went viral earlier this year due to stories about Moltbook, a purported social media platform for AI agents. However, not surprisingly, there were risks in leaving an AI personal assistant on your device, and a serious security flaw was discovered in OpenClause a few months ago.

All that said, you’ll want to do your research before installing OpenClaw on your smartphone.
