We are not talking about any major change in dynamics. Peacock’s reality series, which airs every night at 9 p.m. ET except Wednesdays, still has all the usual ingredients: bombshells, recaps, public votes, and the kind of villa drama that turns a conversation into a full-on Internet investigation.
And Season 8’s Casa Amor episode, where the couples get the chance to cheat midway through the season, still revolves around couple drama. Cast member Casey returned from Casa Amor with Tierra, aka “Titi” – leaving her previous partner Ania alone. Aniya cries in front of the group, telling Casey that he chose her every time, and he didn’t choose her back. Casey’s reply was full of attitude.
But do fans remember that part of the confrontation? How fellow islander Melanie stayed with Ania as she cried.
Melanie helps Ania away from the fire pit, and tries to get her out of the spiral. Melanie reminds Ania that Casey doesn’t fit into the life she wanted.
In the end, Melanie tells Ania that even though they did not find love in the villa, they have found each other.

Fans pointed to other heartwarming displays of female friendship. After the heart rate challenge, the women got a rare night and morning to themselves, and viewers saw how much softer the villa felt without the men taking center stage.
Typical fan favorite moments: The women cook grilled cheese together, practice dancing, and encourage each other with confidence-boosting speeches.
And after the June 30 episode, in which Trinity and Bryce became boyfriend and girlfriend, the Internet couldn’t help but fall in love with the other girls’ reactions when Trinity shared the happy news.

These are the moments that last even after being let go. Former cast member Beatriz – walked off the island on June 12 – has said that despite her earlier drama with Melanie (a scene which included Melanie’s iconic walking line, “Give me a 10”), she saw the conflict as part of a genuine friendship.
“Friends go through their little discussions or fights,” Beatriz said. Diversity. “But at the end of the day, we crush it.”
He also said that the audience misses the off-screen interactions and deep relationships as the show has been edited down to an hour. Despite appearances, Trinity and Kayda were her closest friends in the villa, Beatriz explained. He was more saddened to leave her than to leave the show.
In short, female friendships feel like one of the more believable love stories this season. In fact, there isn’t much competition – Casey ignores Aniya’s injury through another hurtful reference to the “good family” she has extra interest in (Aniya’s father is former NBA player Donnell Harvey), Corbyn refers to the girls team at Casa as “college girls” while the girls back at the villa are “high school”, and Sincere continues to test Melanie’s patience.
What about bromance?
It is not that only girls are becoming sociable. There’s also a bromance in Season 8, which social media loves.
After the Paradise Cove twist in episode 2 left Kaeda, Zach, and Bryce in an isolated hut for 24 hours, fans began paying as much attention to Zach and Bryce as they did the intended love triangle.
Viewers have compiled edits of the two over the course of several weeks – noting that the real chemistry in Paradise Cove may not have been between Kaida and any man, but between the boys.

Their relationship has since become one of the villa’s most talked-about stories – whether romantic or platonic.
“Friendship Island” is not a new term. This has been a part of Love Island USA fans since Season 6, when Jana was saved from elimination by her friends despite not having one of the strongest romantic connections in the villa at the time. “It’s not ‘Friendship Island’, it’s ‘Love Island’,” fellow islander Aaron insisted at the time.
Since then, fans have used “Friendship Island” as both criticism and praise. Sometimes this phrase is used in the same way as Aaron did, to argue that the islanders are playing it too safe because they don’t want to step on their friends’ toes.
However, it is sometimes used to celebrate the friendships that make the show successful even if the pairings do not work out. And this season, friendship seems to be the highlight of each episode.

Women are still competing in the structure of dating shows; Dealing with jealousy, rejection, and public judgment is not easy.
