Live Updates As The Company Announces New Features For Gemini, AI, Search And More

The annual developer conference starts today.

Now is the time for Google to unveil a series of new features coming to its amazing range of software products. The company’s developer conference begins today with a keynote at 1 pm ET. You can watch the stream (here’s how to watch the I/O 2026 keynote) or, if you’re not able to watch the video, you can rely on our liveblog right here! (You can even do both, you’re a multitasker.)

Google just last week hosted an I/O edition of its regular Android show, in which it launched a whole new product category (Googlebooks) and showed off a whole bunch of Android, Gemini, and Chrome updates. You can check out everything Google announced at last week’s Android Show ahead of today’s keynote to get more of an idea of what the company might actually be discussing today.

Based on recent I/Os, it’s very likely that we’ll be hearing a lot about – you guessed it – AI. It has surprises in the form of the Gemini model, Google Search and Workspace integration and perhaps even its special projects. Will we see more holographic telecommunications systems today? Or live-translating AR glasses? It’s anyone’s guess, but it will certainly be a long, eventful keynote.

Our liveblog will begin here at approximately 10 a.m. ET when our reporters Karissa Bell and Igor Bonifacic head to the Shoreline Amphitheater. Stay tuned, we’re glad you’re here!
