Developer Creative Assembly released a short video Sunday morning called “False Sense of Security.” It opens on a dark room with flashing red lights as the camera slowly enters. When the light turns green, the doors open and a rainy city is revealed, followed by a close-up of an emergency phone, which were save stations in the first game. We will have to wait for answers about which city it is and how much danger people are in. Even the description of the video is cryptic – it simply says “the feeling of being much safer than it actually is.”
About two years ago Creative Assembly made an announcement Alien: Isolation A sequel was in early development. The original game was released in 2014 and put players in the shoes of Amanda Ripley, who was looking for her mom Ellen and got embroiled in xenomorph nonsense. Well-reviewed and a solid seller, it seemed like the same thing to do until 2024 when the studio announced a sequel. Perhaps it also didn’t hurt that Fede Álvarez was a fan of the game and appreciated Alien: Romulus.
we will have more alien: isolation 2—or whatever it’s called—as the news comes out.
