CNET announced Streamer University 2026 on their social media accounts with a two and a half minute long trailer, based on their extended streaming hiatus.

It shows Cenat traveling through lush green hills as he approaches an abandoned stone manor – Streamer University, built in the image of the American Hogwarts. Dressed in burgundy and yellow, the Senate discovers it has been taken over by owls, animals tasked with delivering applications that are now gathering dust. But don’t worry, the Senate itself is now here to send them away. And that’s where we all come in.

What is Streamer University?

Streamers is University Senate’s free, multi-day networking, training and social event designed to connect up-and-coming streamers with existing viral content creators. Senate led the inaugural event of Streamer University held at the University of Akron in Ohio in May last year.

How do I apply to Streamer University?

Those who are interested can apply online now. “University” is accepting applications for three different tracks: Student, Professor, and Club Director. Students will receive a crash course in becoming digital creators, led by professors with specific “expertise.” The Club Director will facilitate program activities.

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the ability to travel to the United States. As part of the application process, you will also need to provide at least one social media account for review and submit a short video demonstrating “your personality, content style and why you want to join.” As it says in the FAQ: “Be authentic!”

What do I get if I am accepted to Streamer University?

According to the website, if you are accepted, you will receive free admission to the multi-day event, including classes, activities and networking opportunities. You may also be filmed for content on partner channels.
