CollectWise is a fast-growing and well-funded Y Combinator-backed startup. We’re using generative AI to automate debt recovery, a $35 billion market in the US alone. Our AI agents are already performing twice as well as human collectors, and we’re doing so at a fraction of the cost.
With a team of three, we’ve hit a $1 million annual run rate in just a few months, and we’re now hiring a forward deployed engineer to help us reach $10 million within the next year.
Role
We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead end-to-end customer implementations. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering and operations, integrating and building technical systems that bring customers into production.
This role blends software engineering with practical customer work. If you enjoy ambiguity, like quick shipping, and can translate business requirements into robust, testable systems you will be successful here. This is a highly visible, high-ownership role working closely with the founder and customers.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain custom integrations with client systems.
- Configure and produce AI agents for each client (signaling, workflow, data transfer).
- Develop and implement customer solutions using modern back-end frameworks.
- Translate vague customer requirements into clear technical specifications and ship solutions quickly.
- Build internal tools to make implementation faster and more repeatable.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js, React.js, AWS, SQL, and GPT-5 or other LLM.
- Experience building products in a production environment (your own startup, working at an early-stage startup, or a worthwhile project from the ground up).
- Very strong communication skills and work ethic.
- Experience or interest in voice AI.
- Versatility in all subjects.
compensation
- Salary Range: $150,000 to $190,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
- Significant equity compensation.
