England: BBC Sport pundits choose World Cup XIs – who would you pick?

It’s an easy pick, Jordan Pickford as goalkeeper. If Reece James is fully fit then I would start him.

I’d go with John Stones instead of Ezri Konsa, even though Konsa might have been really reliable. I just believe that Stones can command the ball in international football and if we have to keep the ball in the game, he can certainly do that.

The beginning of Guhi is self-explanatory. He has been excellent for Crystal Palace and Manchester City this season. At left, Nico O’Reilly. I know Jade Spence started in the friendly against New Zealand, but if I had to pick one it would definitely be O’Reilly.

Elliot Anderson and Declan Rice – pretty much what everyone expected. I like Anderson because he can also initiate the attack. I know he’s there to break up plays, but when he plays the ball through the lines he plays with really good quality.

Rice, we all know why he starts. Jude Bellingham, I’d start him at 10 ahead of Morgan Rodgers because he’s a big-play player. I think he is a real superstar. I think there are two real stars in him and Harry Kane.

I’d go with Marcus Rashford rather than Anthony Gordon, but I wouldn’t mind keeping Rodgers there either.

Bukayo Saka speaks for itself and then Harry Kane is clearly ahead.
