The Curl Project will not accept or otherwise handle any vulnerability reports during the month of July 2026. we call it curl warmth of bliss.
The curl submission form on Hackerone will be stopped from July 1, 2026.

The summer of joy begins: 1 July 2026. 00:00 CEST
Submissions Resume: 3 August 2026. 09:00 CEST
The security email address would also be a dead end, as we will not process or otherwise care about security or vulnerability reports sent to us this way.
Any issues you notice during this month that you feel need to report to the Curl Project will have to wait. Curl’s Hackerone form opens for submissions again on Monday 3 August.
We generally do not accept vulnerability reports over email, and this fact remains during and after our vacation.
true holidays

Curl maintainers will be using this low-pressure time to get some extra air and enjoy summer. Maybe hang out a little more. breath. Some of us may spend part of this time seeing other places.
We may get some extra time to fix bugs or work on new code. Fun stuff!
side effects
As a direct side effect of this summer of fun, we have been allowed some more time to handle the issues that might have stood before us in early August. We also push the release date From 8.22.0 two weeks in the future. Now scheduled to take place on September 2, 2026.
vulnerability rate
As mentioned earlier, we have been under immense pressure for the last four months. Now we need some rest. We do not hope that this flood will end.
GitHub
The curl issue and pull-request trackers on GitHub remain open and active as normal.
you too?
If you and your open source project also want to participate in Summer of Bliss 2026: just do so and let us know! I would definitely encourage you to do so. Take care of yourself as a top priority.
bad guys won’t rest
Probably not. But we will.
But what if there is an emergency
Then in August we get to read about it. Or you get a support contract and we get to read about it first.
contracts excluded
Everyone with a paid support contract will surely receive full and proper service even during this period.
