Hello, I created Crest because the notch on my MacBook always bothered me. It’s just a black bar for the camera that sits there all day and does nothing, so I thought I’d make it actually useful. It drops below the notch and gives you things at a glance: what’s playing (with songs), a little dashboard, places to drop files, your clipboard history, calendar, system stats and more. Four of them are free, and if you want the rest it’s $19.99 for one go. No membership. It started as a side project for me. I had tried other Notch apps, but they would drain my battery or freeze after I left my Mac off overnight, which drove me crazy, so I tried a lot to keep the Crest cool on the battery and get it to turn on properly. It’s also notarized by Apple, so none of those “unknown developer” warnings, and none of its work leaves your Mac.
