Best Prime Day headphone deals:
Amazon’s twelfth annual Prime Day sale is now live through June 26. There are dozens of really good tech deals available this week (check out our running master list). But the headphone and earbuds deals are looking unusually great, even for Prime Day.

In a confrontation between Sony XM5 vs XM6 headphones, most of the times I would recommend the XM5s, especially if you don’t mind bending the ear cups. And while XM5s are at an all-time low this Prime Day, so are XM6s. Get the latest version of Sony’s flagship headphones for just $378 and save $81.99.

why we like it
The Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds are some of the best earbuds I’ve tried, but even at their sale price, they’re a hefty investment. Although the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds don’t quite match in sound quality, they still have some of the best noise cancellation available, and are the most comfortable earbuds I’ve tried so far. At $249 (normally $299), or about $17 less, they’re the deal to beat this Prime Day.

why we like it
Bose was the almost undisputed champion of supreme-sounding open earbuds — that is, until the Sony LinkBuds Clip arrived. In my head-to-head testing of the earbuds, I found that while the Bose Ultra Open buds may be louder (an important feature in open earbuds), the Sony buds have better sound clarity and detail than the Bose. Even though the discrepancy in their price this Prime Day is only $20, it’s hard to miss the sub-$200 price tag on Sony earbuds.
