Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is chasing history. And he’s about to grab it with several games left.
Via NBC Sports Research, St. Brown has 505 career catches. With six more, he would surpass former Saints receiver Michael Thomas for most receptions by any player in the first five years of his NFL career.
St. Brown has 75 receptions for the season. This puts him at a pace of 116. His last four seasons are 90, 106, 119 and 115.
He’ll almost certainly get the win with one catch on Thursday against the 7-3-1 Packers. The 7-4 Lions are currently not among the seven NFC playoff teams, a year after they went 15-2 and captured the No. 1 seed.
